Gambia

Estas férias de Natal fui à Gambia, o país mais pequeno do continente Africano. Para eles esta é a altura do Inverno, estavam 35°C de dia e 25°C à noite. Com este calor fomos à praia (claro) e fizemos duas excursões. Ficámos no hotel Kombo Beach e para quem estiver interessado as duas excursões foram feitas com a Kawsu Tours. During this Christmas Holidays I went to Gambia, the smallest country in the African continent. This is winter season there, even though it was 35°C during the day and 25°C during the night. With this weather we went to the beach (of course) and we went on two excursions. We stayed on Kombo Beach hotel and for the ones interested, both excursions were planned and guided by Kawsu Tours.

1st Excursion

A primeira paragem desta excursão foi ao monkey park, foi a minha parte preferida, o nosso guia deu-nos amendoins para que pudéssemos dar aos macacos e estar mais perto deles! The first stop of this excursion was the monkey park, this was my favorite part, because our guide gave us peanuts so we could feed the monkeys and be near them!

Depois parámos na crocodile pool onde pudemos ver imensos crocodilos e tocar nos que estão de barriga cheia porque quando eles estão a fazer a digestão não se mexem e podemos tocar-lhes. After that we stopped at the Crocodile pool where we could see many crocodiles and touch the ones that are full, because after eating they lay down until they're hungry again.

Visitámos este grande mercado onde ficámos a conhecer melhor a cultura local. We visited this big market where we got to know better the local costumes.

 2nd Excursion

Esta excursão foi de dois dias, fomos dormir a Georgetown que é a 5horas de carro do hotel e por isso tivemos de partir cedo e vimos este bonito nascer do sol. This was a 2 day excursion, we slept in Georgetown which is 5hours away from the hotel, so we had to leave early and we watched this beautiful sun rise.

No segundo dia da excursão voltámos a ir para o barco e fomos a uma ilha onde havia macacos e podíamos estar com eles outra vez! On the second day of the excursion we got back to the boat and went to an island where we could feed the monkeys again!

O segundo dia da excursão foi o nosso último dia na Gâmbia, quando voltámos de Georgetown passámos na praia uma última vez antes de ir embora para nos despedirmos do calor e voltar para o frio :( Swimsuit-Type The second day of the excursion was our last day in Gambia, so when we got back from Georgetown we went to the beach to say goodbye to the hot weather and come back to the cold one :(
